What You Will Experience When You Visit a Newborn Nursery™ Care Center
The Newborn Nursery™ Care Center is a feast for the senses. As you enter the area, you'll hear sounds of happy baby noises cooing from the nursery viewing area. When you peek through the glass, you'll see a variety of babies with all different complexions and hair and eye colors. It's almost too difficult to choose just one bundle of joy to take home! Once you do make your selection, a sales associate dressed like a real nurse, will help you put on your hospital gown. Papers are then completed with the baby's name, address, and birth date. The "nurse" will carry your baby out of the isolette and will place him or her on a changing table. She'll conduct a full health examination of your baby and then she'll teach you how to hold your baby. New "parents" can shop for accessories (including dresses, blankets, shoes and more.) to make their new arrival the prettiest baby on the block!

About the Babies in the Newborn Nursery™
It's amazing, but it's true. The little ones in our nursery look and feel just like real babies! Our babies are so lifelike, from their incredibly realistic facial expressions, down to the wrinkles and creases in their tiny hands and feet. Their head, hands and feet are made of vinyl that is soft to the touch, and has the true warm coloring of a baby's skin. Our newborns have soft, cloth bodies, that are weighted in the just the right places, so they feel as real as they look! Even their heads are weighted, requiring gentle support, just like a real newborn baby. Overall, they measure 19-20" in length and weigh approximately four pounds.

History of the Newborn Nursery™ Care Center
The Middleton Doll Company is an Ohio-based company that has been creating award-winning, lifelike baby dolls for 25 years. During those years, the company has been predominantly recognized for its collectible vinyl baby dolls. But in recent years, the company has expanded its line to include dolls that are made of the same quality materials as the collectible dolls, but designed to be "loved" by children. Since so many people were delighted by the lifelike qualities of the dolls, it seemed only natural to offer them in a nursery setting that would provide a memorable experience for both children and their parents. In 1994, the first Newborn Nursery Care Center opened at the company's Home Store in their Belpre, Ohio facility. Since then, Nurseries have been opened inside of select retail stores across the country. In September 2003 the company celebrated the grand opening of its third company-owned Nursery at the Polaris Fashion Place Mall in Columbus, Ohio.
